Boys and girls learn differently. At the same age, their brain is at different stage of development

Boys

Percentage for the USA:

• 70% of low grades at school are given to boys;
• 80% of discipline problems are caused by boys;
• 70% of children with learning difficulties are boys;
• 80% of children with behavioral problems are boys;
• 80% of children who leave school with no qualifications are boys;

For boys these ideas are relevant:

• Present information in diagrams and lists;

• Include activities on sport, music or computer games;

• Use group work;

• Allow controlled movement in the classroom;

• Play games;
